DANCER OF THE MONTH

Sometimes the seasons can surprise us, even while anticipating its arrival, Summer humbly comes around…There’s an indescribable feeling that comes with doing the things we love. It could be nerves or excitement, that’s left up to your perception. As for our December Dancer of the month, Summer D’Abreu loves the challenges and the excitement that comes with accomplishing any task that she puts her mind to. During our interview she recalls the beginning of her Journey at KJDC, she waited to get her uniform so she can get started, and it’s been 6 years since that memory. She is no stranger to waiting for things to develop, the clear understanding of working on her craft for days, weeks, and even years before she gets to the finished product. An excited nod when talking about her love for Dance, specifically the moment before walking on stage. She loves being a big sister to Autumn, this is no pun! She hope to inspire her younger sister who is watching closely. I grew up with the idea that people may not listen to what you say but they will surely imitate you,You just hope that they imitate the good things. Summer is an example of that, so genuinely kind and determined to see it thru to the end.
